Arlene B. Kuhns, 94, of New Tripoli, died on Dec. 29, 2017, in Reston Hospital, Reston, Va.

She was the widow of the late Woodrow J. Kuhns Sr.

Born in Lehigh County, she was a daughter of the late John R. and Mattie (Nester) Gruber.

A member of Ziegels Lutheran Church, Breinigsville, she was a former church treasurer and member of the consistory.

An avid reader of mystery novels, she solved a crossword puzzle every day, and was a lifelong friend of all animals, both big and small.

She was a loving grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family.

Her survivors include her sons Richard W. of New Tripoli and Woodrow J. Jr. and his wife, Sharon L., of Herndon, Va.; and grandchildren Lauren E. and Michael T. Kuhns.

She was predeceased by sisters Laura Druckenmiller, Annie Motko and Helen Bowers.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. Interment at Ziegels Union Church Cemetery.
