Marion T. Greenwood

Marion T. Greenwood, 87, formerly of Schnecksville, and Bound Brook, N.J., died with faith, Dec. 13, 2017, in Woodland Terrace at the Oaks, Allentown.

She was the wife of the late Charles P. Greenwood Jr.

Born Aug. 8, 1930, in Somerville, N.J., she was the daughter of the late James C. Sr. and Bertha D. (Burke) Stryker.

She was a playground and teacher’s aide at Kernsville Elementary School from 1986-96 and Bound Brook High School from 1974-79.

Active in the life of her church, she was a member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, serving on several committees, office volunteer and as acolyte assistant.

She was a former chaplain of Schnecksville Grange 1684, and program coordinator of the first Neighborhood Crime Watch for North Whitehall Township.

Her efforts earned her special recognition by Gov. Bob Casey with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Governor’s Award in 1989.

Her survivors include a daughter Geralyn M., wife of George G. Geiger of Edison, N.J.; son Charles E. Hughes of Allentown; and grandson Kevin Gregg Geiger of Edison.

She was predeceased by a brother, James C. Jr.
