Larry Ritter, of Bradenton, Fla., died on Dec. 16, 2017.

Born Jan. 27, 1936, in Egypt, Whitehall Township, he was a son of the late Althea (Kern) and Samuel Ritter.

He married Gloria (Mullins) Ritter on Jan. 24, 1981.

A 1954 graduate of Whitehall High School, he attended Lehigh Carbon Community College.

He honorably served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-59 achieving the rank of radarman second class.

He was a mechanical engineer for General Electric for 28 years and Trane for 12 years.

A former member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Fullerton, he worked in maintenance for a Christian church and school in Florida after his retirement.

He served as a volunteer firefighter for the Fogelsville Fire Company for 21 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Lori Brawn of Fogelsville, Lonnie Damiano of Wescosville, Sheri Huyter of Reigelsville, and Cindy Tagliaterra of Whitehall; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and his cat Ginger.

He was predeceased by a baby daughter in 1961, and daughters, Beverly Reiss in 2005 and Vicki Rossetti in 2010.
