Janet A. Smith, 64, of Slatington, died peacefully Dec. 21, 2017, in St. Luke’s Hospice House, Lower Saucon Township.

She was the wife of the late Daryl L. Smith.

Born Dec. 13, 1953, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Walter C. and Katherine (Ott) Soha.

She was a sewing machine operator at the former Tama Mfg. formerly in Allentown and Northampton for many years.

Her survivors include children Betty K. Terry and her husband, Michael, of Barnesville, Bobbie A. McClarnon and her husband, John, of Hatfield, Brian R. Snyder of Hatfield; sister Josephine Nicholas of Whitehall; five grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

Her service will be private. There will be no calling hours.
