James J. Price, 85, of New Tripoli, died Dec. 11, 2017, at home.
He was the widower of Jane J. (Moyer) Price.
Born in Coopersburg, he was a son of the late Henry M. and Florence E. (Keck) Price.
He retired from Penn-DOT several years ago, where he was a supervisor.
Before that, he worked in soil conservation in Clearfield and at Bethlehem Steel.
He was a member of Springfield Church of the Brethren, Coopersburg.
He honorably served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He loved spending time with his family, and especially enjoyed the longtime tradition of Family Night when his children and grandchildren would gather to play games and have dinner.
His survivors include daughters, Linda J., wife of David Deibert, of Breinigsville, Brenda M., wife of Dennis Loch, of New Tripoli, and Diane E., wife of Kevin Miller, of Lehighton; sister Ruth R., wife of Harold Hoffman, of Coopersburg; brother Robert K. and wife, Felice, of Emmaus; grandchildren David Christopher and Stephanie Deibert and fiancé Bryan Trumbauer, and Amanda, wife of Ryan Weir, Andrew and Sarah Miller; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers William H., Paul P., Timothy T., and John H.; and sisters, Esther M. Boykas and Mary Miller.
