Carole A. Sachse, 77, formerly of York, died Dec. 17, 2017, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall.

She was the wife of the late Matthew J. Sachse.

Born Nov. 21, 1940, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Theodore T. and Helen (Linkus) Asher.

She was a manager for the IRS, Washington, D.C., for more than 25 years before retiring in 2001.

Her survivors include sons Matthew J. of Bethlehem, David B. and his wife, Diane, of Hagerstown, Md.; siblings Theodore T. Asher and his wife, Karen, of Lilburn, Ga., and Alice Lichtenstein and her husband, Barry, of Brentwood, N.Y.
