John Robert Miller, 89, from Schnecksville, died on Dec. 1, 2017, in his home.

He and his wife Elaine N. (Gastauer) Miller were married 66 years.

Born Jan. 10, 1928, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Robert Derr and Pauline (Hahn) Miller.

He retired from the former Bethlehem Steel, Corp. in 1986 where he was a senior research chemist for 34 years.

John was a member of Christ Evangelical Congregational Church, Allentown.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter Lynn N. Kintz and her husband, Joseph, of Carlisle; son Dale J. Miller and his wife, Donna, of Aiken, S.C.; grandsons Todd Kintz and Evan Miller and his wife, Kandis; and great-grandson, Johnathan Miller.

His service wil be private. There will be no calling hours.
