James F. Stine
James F. Stine, 67, of Pocono Pines, died Nov. 27, 2017, in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
He and his wife, Leslie H. (Hertz) Stine, were married 35 years in May.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late John F. Jr. and Louise S. (Fritz) Stine.
He graduated from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering and a Master of Science degree in civil engineering.
An environmental engineer, he specialized in electric power generation issues.
He worked for Pennsylvania Power and Light, Allentown; Baltimore Gas and Electric, Baltimore, Md.; and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, Arlington, Va.
He retired in May 2012, and he and his wife moved from Annapolis, Md., to Pocono Pines.
He loved being in nature, swimming, boating, fly fishing, skiing and spending time with family and friends.
He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Pocono Pines.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother John F., III and wife, Barbara, of Odessa, Fla.; mother-in-law Marilyn Hertz of Florida; brothers-in-law Jerry Hertz and wife, Jessica Waldman, of Boulder, Colo., Ron Hertz and wife, Deb Messling, of Bethlehem; nieces and nephews Bryan and Michelle Cusma, Ilana and Shiloh Hertz; great-nieces Lauryn and Kristyn; and great-nephew Anthony Cusma.
