Bonnie Whittaker Dorney of Allentown, died Nov. 19, 2017.

Born May 27, 1943 in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Frank S. and Leona A. (Miller) Whittaker.

A 1961 graduate of Parkland High School, she worked in the Parkland Athletic Office for 33 years.

She loved playing the piano and violin, and enjoyed sewing, beading and planting flowers in the yard.

She was an avid reader of mystery stories, and along with her husband, she loved to take cruises.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother William and his wife, Sue; niece Sally; nephew Scott; and stepdaughter, Kristin Dorney.

She was predeceased by a brother James Whittaker.
