Josephine M. Kovalchik, 88, formerly of Schnecksville, died on Nov. 18, 2017, in Luther Crest Health Center, South Whitehall.

She was the wife of the late Paul F. Kovalchik.

Born Feb. 16, 1929, in Ballietsville, she was the daughter of the late John and Sophie (Yanuschak) Demko.

A seamstress, she enjoyed being a homemaker, mother and grandmother.

She was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Slatington.

Her survivors include sons, Christopher P. (Carol) of Townsend, Ga., Paul J. (Linda) of Slatington, William M. (Sharron) of Fredericksburg, Va.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Nov. 22 at Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 633 W. Washington St., Slatington. The Rev. Eric R. Arnout will be celebrant.

Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. Wednesday in the church narthex.

Interment will follow the service at Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville.
