Richard G. “Dick” Schlosser, 80, from Schnecksville, died on Nov. 10, 2017, in his home.
He and his wife Jill F. (Scheffler) Schlosser were married 57 years on Feb. 27.
Born Jan. 26, 1937, in Lynn Township, he was the son of the late George C. Schlosser and Marguerite (Loy) Schlosser Scherer.
He was a tax preparer for Eline’s Tax Service, Allentown, for 20 years before retiring in 2015.
Before that, he was an auditor for the IRS for 35 years in jurisdictions of Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
A 1960 graduate of Penn State University, he was a 1955 graduate of Slatington High School.
He was a member of I.O.O.F. Jordan Lodge 192, Schnecksville, Elks Lodge and the T.P.A.
A member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, he formerly served on the church’s consistory.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Pamela A. Miller and her husband, Thomas, of Chandler, Ariz.; son Timothy A. Schlosser and his wife, Alison, of Kimberton; sister Marlene Kokolus and her husband, William, of Germansville; grandchildren Randy, Beth, Ryan, Melissa, Angela, Cole and Kate; and great-grandchildren Rileigh, Emma and Brady.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer L. Schmoyer.
