Marilyn A. Shurilla, 80, formerly of Allentown, died on Nov. 6, 2017, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall, where she was residing.

She was the wife of the late Donald J. Shurilla.

Born May 17, 1937, in Cumberland, Allegany County, Md., she was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Agnes C. (Schrader) Davis.

She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and worked throughout her life as a dental hygienist, most recently at Emmaus Dental, Emmaus.

A life-long member of Christ Lutheran Church, Allentown, she sang there with the choir.

Her passions in life included music, cooking and traveling.

She is survived by daughters Jane E., wife of Edward Scott Frisch, of Schnecksville, Julie L., wife of James J. Mueller, of Scarborough, Maine; and granddaughters, Laura and Caroline Davis, and Katie and Sydney Mueller.

Her memorial service will be 11 a.m. Nov. 21 at Christ Lutheran Church, 1245 W. Hamilton St., Allentown.

Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. in the church narthex.

Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
