Bernard G. Miller, 94, of Allentown, died Oct. 23, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He and his wife Ruth R. (Moyer) Miller were married 64 years on June 13.

Born July 22, 1923, in Whitehall Township, he was the son of the late Robert D. and Florence (Herbster) Miller.

He was a custodian at Lehigh Career and Technical Institute, Schnecksville, for seven years before retiring.

Before that he worked for Harold M. Blacker Construction, Wescosville, for 10 years and the former Giant Portland Cement Co., Whitehall, for 22 years.

A member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall, he was a member of the altar guild.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter Kim L. Hofstetter and her husband, Randy, of Center Valley; and grandchildren Heather and Justin.

He was predeceased by siblings Sterling, Dale, Curtis and Gerald Miller, and Isabel Derr, Corean Kistler and Leontine Schleicher.
