Bonita B. Seko Schlabig

Bonita B. “Bonnie” Seko Schlabig, 67, a longtime Catasauqua resident, died peacefully Oct. 7, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem.

She was the widow of Gregory O. Schlabig, who died in 2016 and Ronald Seko, who died in 2005.

Born in Schnecksville, she was a daughter of Grace M. (Strohl) Balliet of Coplay, and the late William F. Balliet, former Whitehall Township fire chief.

She was a longtime member of the former Trinity United Church of Christ, Coplay.

She was a certified nursing assistant for Maximum Care, Home Instead Senior Care and Cedarbrook nursing home.

Earlier in life she was very active with the former Catasauqua Ambulance Corps for more than 18 years.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son Brian Seko of Catasauqua; sister LuAnn P. Donovan and her husband, Dale, of Coplay; brother Bruce F. Balliet; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a niece, nephew and their extended family.

Contributions may be made to a fund for the care of her visually impaired son Brian Seko.
