Oct. 2-7: Homecoming Week “Parkland Pays it Forward” Includes Garter Bowl, Daily Celebrations, hallway decorating contest, float building and parade at the football game and Saturday night dance when Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned.

Oct. 9: No School. Columbus Day.

Oct. 13: Elementary students receive free Emoji Ice with lunch purchase in all elementary schools.

Oct. 13 and 14: Parkland High School fall play, “Pride and Prejudice,” 7:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Oct. 15.

Oct. 19: Community Advisory Council meeting, 7 p.m., Administration Center. Topic of the meeting is “Curriculum and Instruction: Full-Day Kindergarten Results, 3-5 New Language Arts Program Wonders and 6-12 New ELA Curriculum,” which will be presented by Kelly Rosario, Jason Henry, and Diane Neikam from the curriculum office. Public is invited to attend.
