Jon Sardjono Wirono, 89, died on Sept. 21, 2017, at home in Ocala, Fla., after a long illness. Born in Bengkulu, Sumatra, Indonesia, he was the son of the late Wongso and Wakijem Wirono.

The loving husband of Julia (Dise) Wirono, they were married 50 years.

He was a member of The First Presbyterian Church of Ocala.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Melanie Heuer of Selinsgrove, Christina Wirono of Montgomery Village, Md., Felicya Stern of North Bethesda, Md., Diane Wirono of North Potomac, Md., and John Alfred Wirono of Montgomery Village; grandchildren Jennifer (Heuer) Heinke of Falls Church, Va.; Melissa Heuer of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Zachary Stern of North Potomac; and Soriana Stern of Bethesda, Md.; and niece, Sugiati Soekarna of Tangerang, Indonesia.
