Jeffrey C. Best, 61, of Schnecksville, died Sept. 25, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born Dec. 16, 1955, in Allentown, he was the son of Dorothy V. (Remaley) Best of Schnecksville and the late Henry F. Best.

He was a night shift manager for many years at Giant Food Store, Wind Gap.

A life member of the Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club, New Tripoli, and the Copeechan Fish and Game Club, Schnecksville, he also was a member of Smokey Bear Hunting Camp, Clearfield County, and a social member of the Neffs Volunteer Fire Company.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his companion, Judy A. Schellhamer of Schnecksville; sons Christopher M. (Angela M.) Best of Alburtis, Chad J. (Shana C.) Best of Orefield; siblings Cynthia A. (Michael J.) Best of Schnecksville, Eric H. (Paula) Best of Carrollton, Va.; and grandchildren Brenna, Ava and Cayla Best.

His memorial service will be 6 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Kris Snyder-Samuelson officiating.

Family and friends may call 5-6 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
