John C. Muhr, 64, of Egypt, died Sept. 19, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem.
He and his wife Shirleen L. (Meckel) Muhr were married 45 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late John and Harriet (Benninger) Muhr.
A 1971 Northwestern Lehigh High School graduate, he was a materials handler and superintendent for East Penn Manufacturing (DEKA battery) for 45 years.
He was a member of Ranger Rod and Gun Club, North Whitehall Township, and was affiliated with the Lehigh Valley Hog Chapter and enjoyed motorcycling.
His survivors include a daughter Pamela E. and her husband Robert Ardinger, with whom he resided; granddaughters Tammy Herbal and Sheryl Ludwig; great-grandchildren Samuel, Jarrod and Jessica; niece Dolores Berger; and a nephew Charles Saul.
