Jean LaRae Herring

Jean LaRae (Sell) Herring, 77, of Moore Township, died peacefully Sept. 22, 2017, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg, surrounded by her loving family.

The wife of Larry H. Herring for 42 years, she was born at Kern’s Dam, Orefield, to the late William J. and Ursula G. (Kuhns) Sell.

She was a member of Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville.

A 1958 graduate of Allentown High School, she was an assembler at Western Electric earlier in life.

She enjoyed flowers, arts and crafts, and spending time with her loved ones.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son Dale H. Herring and his wife Alison (Hujsa); grandsons Dylan and Brett; sisters Doris Weave, and Joan Shook and husband Kenneth; brother William A. Sell and wife June; nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Carlton, and recently by a nephew, Dennis Weaver.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Sept. 30 in Gilbert Funeral Home, 444 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall, with the Rev. Gary L. Walbert officiating. Viewing at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
