David L. Bauder, 71, of Allentown, died on Sept. 8, 2017, at home.

He and his wife Barbara P. (Vogel) Bauder were married 46 years in July.

He was the son of the late Milton and Dorothy G. (Smith) Bauder.

An enrolled agent and accountant in the Lehigh Valley for more than 50 years, he retired this year.

He loved to play tennis, walk his dog, Maggie, and enjoyed trips to Sanibel Island and Key West, Fla.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Matthew D. and partner, Christina, of Emmaus.

He was predeceased by a son David Jr.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. Interment at Grandview Cemetery, South Whitehall.
