Zoe Ann Buhosky

Zoe Ann Buhosky, 80, of Orefield, died Sept. 11, 2017, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She and her husband Bernard A. Buhosky were married 59 years.

Born March 16, 1937, in Woodbury, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Russell Edgar and Eleanor (Manion) Mood.

A 1958 graduate of the former Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing, she was a private duty nurse before retiring.

Active in the life of her church, St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield, she was a past president of the Women’s Guild, Eucharistic Minister, served on the HOPE Committee and funeral choir.

A member of the Golden Agers at the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Sienna, she volunteered for the American Cancer Society.

She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Pennsylvania State Police Retirees Auxiliary and the Harrisburg Hospital, School of Nursing Alumni.

She will forever be remembered as a beloved wife, loving mother and caring grandmother.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by children Susan M. Roth and her husband, Matthew, of Nazareth, Zoe Ann Caruso and her companion, Mario Sessanta of Northampton, Bernard R. Buhosky and his wife, Debra, of Coopersburg; and grandchildren Gregory, Theresa, Michael, Zachary, Rae Ann, Teagan and Kori Zoe.

She was predeceased by siblings, Wilberta and Thomas Mood.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Sept. 15 at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield.

Family and friends may pay their respects 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville and 10-10:50 am. Friday in the church.

Interment will follow the service at Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville.
