Priscilla A. Greiss
Priscilla A. Greiss, 83, formerly of Slatington, died peacefully Sept.3, 2017, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the wife of the late Alan K. Greiss.
Born Feb. 4, 1934, in Mahoning Township, Montour County, she was the daughter of the late James L. and Verdilla J. (Russell) Moore.
A 1956 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in home economics she assisted her late husband in operating their farm in the Washington Township area from 1958-2013.
She was a past member of Schnecksville Grange 1684, and a former member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau’s Lehigh County Farm Wife Committee.
A member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, she formerly sang with the choir there for 35 years.
She enjoyed Penn State football, gardening, puzzles, reading and spending time with her family.
Her survivors include children Karen D. Griffith (Mark) of Allentown, Sharon E. Holko (Andrew) of Orefield, Deborah A. Geiger (Timothy) of Schnecksville, Keith A. Greiss (Sandra) of Carlisle; brothers James L. Moore II of Watsontown, Richard D. Moore (Rita) of Lebanon; grandchildren Lauren, Megan, Kristen, Sarah, Rebecca, Hannah, Connor, Lillie, Noah, Olivia and Jonas; and great-granddaughters Julie and Grace.
She was predeceased by siblings Beverly J. Phillips and William R. Moore.
Her memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 9 at Union UCC, 5550 Route 873, Neffs, with the Rev. Kris P. Snyder-Samuelson officiating.
The family will receive guests following the service in fellowship hall.
