Jean E. Follweiler, 84, of Kutztown, formerly of Kempton, died on Sept. 3, 2017, in Laurel Living Center, Hamburg.
She was precdeceased by her husband George J. Follweiler in 1970.
Born in Albany Township, she was a daughter of the late Jesse P. and Esther B. (Kunkel) Miller.
She was last employed by The Lutheran Home at Topton until retiring in 1993.
Before that, during the 1970s, she was the owner and operator of the Krumsville Hotel and also worked the family farm in Kempton for many years.
She was a member of New Bethel Church, Kempton.
Her survivors include sons, Dennis G. (Monica) Follweiler of Kutztown, Bruce D. (Luisa) Follweiler, Bobby B. (LeAnn) Follweiler and Dale K. (Michele) Follweiler, all of Kempton; sister Linda Miller of Hamburg; brothers, Marlin, and Larry (Diane) Miller of Kempton; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was predeceased by sisters, Fern Boltz and Nancy Swisher.
Her memorial service will be 11 a.m. Sept. 12 Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, with a visitation period beginning 10 a.m.
The Rev. David W. Blitch will officiate.
Interment will be in New Bethel Union Cemetery, Kempton.
