Ernest P. Breininger
Ernest P. Breininger, 90, of Fogelsville, died Sept. 4, 2017, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall.
He and his wife Dorothy H. (Blose) Breininger were married 67 years.
Born March 11, 1927, in Seipstown, Weisenberg Township, he was the son of the late Paul E. and Eva E. (Sechler) Breininger.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II earning the rank of T5.
A backhoe operator for Curtis E. Schneck Inc., Schnecksville for 22 years, he retired in 1992.
Before that, he worked for the former Lehigh Portland Cement Co., Fogelsville, for 24 years.
A member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Fogelsville, he formerly served on the consistory and building committee.
He also served on the board of directors of Union Cemetery Association, Fogelsville, for 35 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Barry E., and Scott D. and his wife, Donna, all of Fogelsville; brother Carl R. and his wife, Minnie, of Allentown; and granddaughter Lisa N. Matz and her husband, Ryan, of Alburtis.
He was predeceased by an infant son, Douglas C.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Sept. 8 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Irvin S. Moore Jr. officiating.
Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Interment with military honors will follow the service at Union Cemetery, Fogelsville.
