Edith I. Walters, 92, of Allentown, died Aug. 21, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She was the widow of Henry Walters.

Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Amanda (Homm) Hunsicker.

A sewing machine operator in the Lehigh Valley for more than 30 years, she often volunteered for the Woodlawn Fire Company and Cedarbrook Therapeutic Recreation Department.

She was a member of Jordan Lutheran Church, Orefield.

Her survivors include daughters Debra Lilly and husband, Shawn, of Lehighton and Pam Schneck and husband, Terry, of Slatington; sisters Arlene Reed of Andreas and Connie Correll of Allentown; grandchildren Tammy Mathisen, Amanda Gostonyi, Joshua Smith, Kyle Schneck and Caleb Lilly; great-grandchildren Benjamin, Amanda, Ava, Evan, Taven and Madelynn; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by many brothers and sisters.
