Karen M. Neustadter, 51, of Kutztown, died peacefully Aug. 15, 2017, surrounded by her loving family in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
She and her husband Douglas C. Neustadter would have been married 29 years in October.
Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Ronald A. and Joan M. (Bougher) DeLong.
A certified nursing assistant, phlebotomist and EMT, she most recently worked for Kutztown Ambulance Corps and Family Matters Home Health.
Before that, she worked for Lehigh Valley Hospital, The Lutheran Home at Topton and Country Meadows.
She was a former member of Morgenland Church, Orefield.
She enjoyed horses, gardening, feeding and watching wild birds, and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters Nichole Reich of Hamburg and Margo of Kutztown; son Kevin of Kutztown; brother Keith DeLong and wife, Karen Yurconic, of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren Levi, Liam and Ava; and her beloved dog, Gracie Lou.
Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Aug. 26 at Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. with the Rev. Sally D. Zelker officiating.
Interment will be at the church cemetery.
