Bernard F. “Ben” Sagan Sr., 82, formerly of Bethlehem, died Aug. 14, 2017, at his daughter’s home in Palmyra, where he was residing.
He and his wife Mary D. (Budihas), celebrated 58 years of marriage this month.
Born in Hokendauqua, he was a son of the late Stephen and Anna (Kovalchick) Saganowich.
He was an electrician with the former Graphic Management Associates, Allentown, for many years before retiring.
Before that, he was a sewing machine mechanic for various businesses in the Lehigh Valley.
He was a former member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Orefield.
He served as a staff sergeant in the Army Reserves.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Bernard F. Jr. and his wife, Lynn, of Appelton, Wis.; daughter Lisa Sagan of Palmyra; brothers Stephen, and Francis and his wife, Dawn, all of Whitehall; sister, Jean, wife of Philip Wavrek; and grandchildren Kaitlyn, Madelyn and Karalyn.
He was predeceased by a brother George, sister Margaret, and twin brothers John and Jerome.
