At the Aug. 10 meeting of the township board of supervisors, Gene Clater, Allen Township Planning Commission chairman, urged the prospective new owners of three warehouses to abide by verbal agreements reached with the original developer.
Conceding the agreements should have been part of the official documents, Clater said, nevertheless, Liberty Property Trust, of Malvern, should honor the previous unwritten agreement reached with Mark Powell, of Century Commerce Centers.
Mike Alderman, vice president and market officer with Liberty Property Trust, introduced his company to the supervisors, outlining the company’s mission and providing brochures to the board.
With an agreement of sale to acquire the 150 acres, on which three warehouses will be erected, west of Savage Road and Route 329, Alderman said his company wants to be part of the community.
He needs approval from Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, so Liberty Property Trust can take title to the property.
“We don’t plan to make any big changes,” Alderman said, adding the approved plans will stay intact “pretty much as they are.”
Clater mentioned the verbal agreements “don’t show on the plans.”
Clater stressed the seven wetlands north of the property must remain, preserving its integrity.
When Alderman said his company would take Clater’s concerns seriously and into consideration, Clater responded, “As long as it’s on your radar.”
