James R. McGonigle, 82, died peacefully on Aug. 3, 2017.
The husband of Joan M. (Klein) McGonigle who died in 2016, he proudly served his country in the Army, and worked for Pillsbury as a mixer more than 30 years.
An avid bowler, he rolled a 300 game earlier in life, played baseball for the Allentown Patriots, and enjoyed golf.
His survivors include daughters Elaine Schmoyer, Kerin Nicholas and husband, Drew; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters Patricia Taylor and husband, Ben, Eleanor O’Donnell and husband, Joseph, and Jean McGonigle; brother Hobart McGonigle; sister-in-law Ella McGonigle; stepsons Allen Phillips and wife, Natalie (Yost), Timothy A. and Rick Phillips.
He was predeceased by a brother Charles.
His services will be private.
