Evelyn A. Schlenker, 92, of Kempton, died July 27, 2017, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born in Crackersport, she was a daughter of the late James J. and Bertha T. (Smith) Wisser.

She was last employed as a machine operator at the former Deisher Knitting Mill, Kutztown, until retiring in 1984.

Her survivors include a son, Herman C. Schlenker of Kempton, with whom she resided; daughters Barbara A., widow of Dale Bailey of Hamburg, Alana A., wife of Robert Reinhart of Kempton, Dolores J., wife of William “Jesse” Fajna of Reading, Kathleen M. Eschbach of Allentown, Madelyn R. Reimert of Kempton and Darlene M., widow of Floyd Fajna of Leesport; a sister Janet Faix of Andreas; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Curtis Schlenker.
