The Salisbury Township Police Department will hold its National Night Out event 6 to 8 p.m. Aug.1 at Salisbury High School. There will be food and drink, emergency vehicles, games and activities for kids, home safety tips, neighborhood watch information and child safety seat checks and installation. Salisbury Middle School will have library hours 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 26 and Aug. 2.
The Salisbury Athletic Booster Club is conducting a one day clothing and more drive 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Aug. 12 at Salisbury Middle School, 3301 Devonshire Road, Allentown. Items to be collected include clothing and shoes, accessories, household items and toys. Books, VCR tapes, CDs, box televisions, monitors, car seats, oversized playsets or outdoor playsets will not be accepted. The Keystone Warriors will host the 2017 Josh Smith Memorial 5K Run/Walk Aug. 20. A portion of the registration fees goes to assist Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors. Registration is available now online at pretzelcitysports.com or the day of the event 8 to 8:40 a.m., with the event beginning 10 a.m.
The Franko Farm yard waste drop off site will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 8 and 12.
An operations committee meeting will be held 7 p.m. Aug. 7 at the school district administration building, 1140 Salisbury Road, Allentown. A regular school board meeting will be held 7:30 p.m. Aug. 16.
Baseline impact testing will be held 4:30 p.m. Aug. 8 and 5:30 p.m. Aug. 9 at Salisbury High School. Enter through the old gym entrance. Student athletes need a new baseline every year at the middle school level and every two years at the high school level. The test will take about 30 to 40 minutes; do not be late as the doors will be locked upon testing start.

The 2017-2018 fall physical packets are due by Aug. 10. Physical forms must be dated by the physician on or after June 1.
The Allentown Public Library, 1210 W. Hamilton St., will host a book sale 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 24 through 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 26.
