Christine D. Smith, 77, of Schnecksville, died July 9, 2017, surrounded by her loving family in her home.

She was the wife of the late Harold S. Smith.

Born Jan. 3, 1940, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Paul F. and Dorothy E. (Smoyer) Kuhns.

She owned and operated Christine Smith’s Beauty Shop, Schnecksville, for 45 years before retiring in 1985.

A member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, she was a former 4-H leader.

Her survivors include children Glenn H. Smith and his wife, Tammy, of Coplay, Karen C. Smith with whom she resided, Neal D. Smith and wife, Tai, of Orlando, Fla.,; sister Merle D. Kuhns of Allentown; brother Lloyd E. Kuhns and his wife, Ardith, of Schnecksville; grandchildren Sierra, Asia, Shelby, Jessica, Eric and Kai; and great-granddaughter, Layla.

She was predeceased by siblings David P. Kuhns and Marilyn K. Niebur.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. July 13 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Kris P. Snyder-Samuelson officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
