Robert Edgar Brong II, 72, of Kutztown, died July 1, 2017, in his home surrounded by his wife, family and friends.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Robert E. and Lois (Hildt) Brong.

A 1963 graduate of Allen High School, he graduated from Muhlenberg College in 1987 with a degree in psychology.

He was a 44-year employee of State Farm Insurance until his retirement in 2013,

He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He and his wife, Missy, were passionate dog fanciers and he was a life-member and past president of The Lehigh Valley Kennel Club.

Also a member and past president of the Rolling Thunder Chapter 1 Motorcycle Club, he was a member of the Berks HOG Motorcycle Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Lois (Brong) Miller of Allentown; and sons, Robert, and Kevin, husband of Terri, all of Orlando, Fla.; and grandchildren Jordan and Ryan, also of Orlando.
