Larry C. Grim
Larry C. Grim, 70, of Orefield, died June 27, 2017, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown.
He and his wife Barbara A. (Rex) Grim were married 49 years last Aug. 26.
Born June 12, 1947, in Ironton, he was the son of the late Alfred and Rosa (Miller) Grim.
He owned the former Gogel’s Independent Auto Parts, Ironton, until his retirement.
Before that, he was the operations manager of J.P. Mascaro & Sons, Allentown, for 20 years and was a sales representative for the former Paul Revere Furniture, Center Valley, and J.B. Van Sciver Furniture Co., Allentown.
Past president of Lehigh Valley Quarter Midget Racing Club, he was also a co-founder and past president of Keystone State Quarter Midget Race Club, Schnecksville.
He was a life member of Community Fire Co. No. 1, Schnecksville.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jessica S. Grim and her husband, Ian M. Thomson, of Appleton, Wis.; son Justin P. Grim and his companion, Taylor Bauer, of Orefield; sisters Dorothy L. Best of Allentown, Madeline E. Gimbel of Ironton, Sallyann J. Steffie of Allentown, Diane E. Kumernitsky and her husband, John, of Schnecksville; half-brothers Terry W. Grim of Northampton and David P. Grim of Coplay.
He was predeceased by a son Jeremy D. Grim and brothers, Alfred S. and Donald R. Grim.
