The 2017 East Penn Conference All-Star baseball team was announced last week with two Liberty players getting first team honors, as Jared Burcin (C) and Sam Kraihanzel (IF) earned recognition.

Freedom junior pitcher Alec Huertas was nominated as a first team utility player.

Two Hurricanes made the second team, led by Alex Laudenslager (P) and Elias Gross (IF).

The third team had seven Bethlehem representatives, including Liberty’s Alex Super (P), Mike Perreault (IF), Kyle Hlavaty (OF) and Gabe Albino (OF). Freedom’s Thomas Bonilla (OF), Jonah Mateo (IF) and Huertas also got nods.
