Harold B. Carpenter, 76, of New Tripoli, died June 12, 2017, in his home.

Born Nov. 9, 1940, in Plainfield, Somerset County, N.J., he was the son of the late Norman B. and Vera (Robinson) Carpenter.

A self-employed mechanic, he restored automobiles in New Tripoli for many years.

He was a member of Living Stone Fellowship, New Tripoli, and the Antique Automobile Club of America.

His survivors include a daughter, Cynthia M. Bartos and her husband, David, of Allentown; siblings Dexter Carpenter of Bernardsville, N.J., Kent Carpenter of Lebanon, N.J., and Marjorie Drayton of Brielle, N.J.; and step-grandson, Michael R. Bartos of Macungie.

His service will be private. There will be no calling hours.
