Merritt K. Keller, 85, of Zionsville, died June 15, 2017, in his home. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Laudenslager) Keller. They were married for 66 years. Born in Zionsville, he was the son of the late Leon and Marion (Houseknecht) Keller.
He was a 1949 graduate of Emmaus High School.
He honorably served his country in the Marine Corps right out of high school.
He worked for Tasty Baking Company for many years, retiring in 1989.
After retirement, he lived six months in Florida and six months in Zionsville.
He enjoyed hunting, camping, and wood carving in retirement.
He was active with Boy Scout Troop #31, Old Zionsville, for many years.
He was a member of Old Zionsville U.C.C.
He is survived by his wife; son, Barry J. Keller, of Zionsville; grandchildren, Chasity and her husband Howard Seibert, Andrew and Jennifer; twin great-grandsons, Hunter and Gabriel. He was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey L. on Oct. 16, 2016.

A joint memorial service will be held for he and his son, Jeffrey 11 a.m. July 1 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
