Russell L. Rader, 85, of Coplay, died May 30, 2017, in his home.

He and his wife Delores M. (Simock) Rader were married 61 years last Oct. 21.

Born Feb. 29, 1932, in Alburtis, he was the son of the late Irwin H. Sr. and Ella E. (Keim) Rader.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War era.

He was a plumber at the former Western Electric, Allentown, for 28 years before retiring in 1988.

A member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, he was a former member of the former Vernon G. Kern VFW Post 8344, Schnecksville.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by daughters Darlene Grim (James) of Breinigsville, Karen Dietrich (Thomas) of Mohrsville, Kathleen Milander (Robert) of Schnecksville; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters.
