Pamela A. Kerschner
Pamela A. “Pam” Kerschner, 58, of New Tripoli, died peacefully June 4, 2017, in her home after a brief battle with ovarian cancer.
She was the loving wife of David P. Kerschner Sr., whom she married July 14, 1979.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Anna Mae (Sittler) Kline of Kutztown and the late Robert K. Kline, who died Feb. 19, 2013.
A 1977 graduate of Kutztown Area High School, she was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, New Tripoli.
After high school, she was employed by Erie Insurance Co., working at the Kutztown location.
She then was a homemaker and stay-at-home mother for many years.
After her sons were grown, she most recently worked with several convenience stores and supermarkets in the merchandising field, working out of her home.
Family always came first in her life. She enjoyed going to the movies almost every Saturday night with her husband and also looked forward to her Sunday gatherings with her family in Kutztown, where many memories were made.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother and caring grandmother, who hardly ever missed her sons high school and college football games and other activities.
A tidy woman, she kept her home neat, spotless and well organized.
She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and watching her two grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 37 years, she is survived by her sons David P. Jr., and his wife Melissa S. (Gasser) Kerschner and Brent R. Kerschner; and grandchildren Haley R. and Chase D. Kerschner, all of New Tripoli; and brother Gary A., and wife, Sue E. (Grim) Kline, of Kutztown.
At her request, there will be no viewing or services as she expressed her desire to leave her earthly life quietly and without ceremony or testament.
Those wishing to acknowledge her are requested to do so through personal prayer and reflection or by doing a good deed for someone in need.
The family requests contributions in her memory be made to the Pamela A. Kerschner Memorial Fund c/o Ludwick Funeral Homes Inc., P.O. Box 292, Kutztown, PA 19530-0292.
The contributions will later be used to help fund her grandchildren’s college educations.
