John “Hank” Nemeth, 88, of Fellowship Community and formerly of Northampton and Treichlers, died May 22, 2017. He was the husband of Stella (Keglovits) Nemeth for 65 years.
Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late John and Theresa (Sabara) Nemeth.
He attended North- ampton schools.
He was in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea.
He owned a real estate and insurance firm, where he worked for more than 30 years.
He was a member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton.
He was a member of Catholic War Veterans, the Young At Heart group at the Blessed Virgin Mary parish and the Travelers Protective Association. He was a member of the board of directors at Cement National Bank, Lehigh Valley International Airport, Northampton Borough Municipal Authority and Lehigh Valley Chapter of the National Football Foundation.
He is survived by four children, Clare of Dacula, Ga., John of Northampton, Catherine of Philadelphia and Daniel and his wife Liz of North Whitehall; seven grandchildren, Megan Carranza, Erin Kuglin, Joshua, Sarah Rentz, John, Chelsea and William; four great-grandchildren, Sophia, Connor, Sofia and Stella; a sister, Rosemarie Grossbauer; and two brothers, Andrew and James.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Theresa Yurasits and Anna Hacker; and two brothers, Joseph and Felix.
