In unofficial results, Democrat Colleen Gober defeated Edward F. Koren in the May 16 primary election for the position of tax collector in Whitehall Township.

Gober earned 833 votes, 76 percent.

Koren tallied 270 votes, 24 percent.

There was no Republican candidate on the ballot.
