Hellertown resident is a Who’s Who
Kelsey Payung of Hellertown, a bachelor of science in health science major at Lebanon Valley College, received the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges award.
The national program honors outstanding senior campus leaders for their academic, leadership, volunteerism and other co-curricular achievements.
Bethlehem man is new Eagle Scout
Bethlehem resident Trevor Tompkins, 18, of Troop 318 (meets at Rosemont Lutheran Church), recently was awarded the Eagle Scout designation, the highest achievement or rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America program.
His project was creating a military recognition wall at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem, to honor residents who are military veterans.
The Liberty High School senior is also a member of the Lehigh Naval Sea Cadets.
Bethlehem resident new CPA officer
Jeremy S. Sestito of Bethlehem, a certified public accountant, was elected president of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants - Lehigh Valley Chapter. Other Lehigh Valley Chapter officers for the 2017-2018 fiscal year include Tara L. Bender, CPA, a partner at Campbell, Rappold & Yurasits LLP; Janice C. Alleman, CPA, a shareholder with Abraham, Borda, Corvino, Butz, LaValva & Co. PC; and Christopher J. Huber, CPA, of Buckno Lisicky & Company PC.
Honor society inductees
Phi Kappa Phi
Several local residents were initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society.
They are Chase Sakitis, Cydnee Bence, John Graham, Michael Horvath, Michael Mintzer and Rachel Cimera, all of Bethlehem, and Alexandra Kovacs and Jade Richetta of Northampton, were initiated at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.
