Five new members of the National Football Foundation Lehigh Valley Chapter Hall of Fame will be inducted at this year’s banquet, scheduled to take place during a dinner and ceremony on Friday, May 5 at the Northampton Community Center.
The list is led by former Central Catholic and Parkland head coach Jim Morgans, who won two state titles with the Vikings during his career, as well as leading Parkland to two state championship appearances.
Former Liberty quarterback Dan Persa, who went on to play college football at Northwestern University, is also apart of this year’s class. He was a 2007 graduate and led Liberty to two state championship appearances. Persa was the 2006 4A Player of the Year and a first-team all-state selection
The other inductees include:
Jeffrey G. Buskirk
A 1984 Whitehall High, an honorable mention all-state selection, who played at Syracuse.
Herb Barall
A 1971 Northampton High graduate who has been a longtime member of the National Football Foundation, Lehigh Valley Chapter.
Jason Kremus
A 1989 Northampton High grad, a second-team all-state, who played at the University of Maryland.
