Frank J. Sakasits, 79, formerly of Coplay, died April 20, 2017. Born in Upper Nazareth Township, he was a son of the late Frank P. and Emma (Derkits) Sakasitz.

He was in the U.S. Army.

He was a lineman and supervisor for PPL until he retired in 1995.

He was a member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton.

Following his retirement, he volunteered on a horse farm where he helped children with special needs to enjoy horseback riding.

He is survived by three daughters, Christina and her husband Ralph Brodt III, Monica Sakasitz and Melissa and her husband of Dan Fischl; four grandchildren, Elizabeth and her husband Peter Zimmer, Sarah and her husband Jacob Howell and Cassidy and Joseph Fischl; two sisters, Peggy Sakasitz and Kathleen and her husband John Rechtor; and a brother, William and his wife, Kathy Sakasitz.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Emma Eck and Patricia Shook.
