Jean E. Getz, 79, of Wind Gap, died April 13, 2017, in her home. She was the wife of the late Lester T. Getz Sr.

Born in Kunkletown, she was a daughter of the late Alan J. and Mildred M. (Smith) Weiss.

She was a seamstress for Scotty’s Fashions.

She was a member of the American Legion auxiliary, Wind Gap Post, and of the Jacksonian Club, Nazareth.

She is survived by a son, Edward A. Altemose of Saylorsburg; a brother, Robert Weiss of Lehighton; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by an infant daughter.
