The Northampton track team compete at the Allen Invitational as well as in a home meet against Parkland.

Lyndsey Gallagher earned a medal in both the 1600 (2nd) and 3200 (3rd) at the Allen Invite. She also broke the school record in the 1600 by almost 8 seconds - running a 5:08.13.

Alexis Barrall took second in the pole vault. Jeremy Sell was second in the shot put and the boys 400 relay team took third.

Some highlights of the Parkland meet again involved Gallagher, who broke the Al Erdosy Stadium record in the 1600. She ran a 5:15.2 - topping the old record of 5:18.

Hannah Flaven broke the school and stadium record running the 400 in 1:00.24.

The team has its last two regular season meets on Thursday, April 27, against Central Catholic and on Monday, May 1, against Nazareth. Both are home and May 1 is the team’s senior day.

Below is the second release of the East Penn Conference top track and field performances for the 2017 season thus far, which came out Friday morning, April 21.

Several K-Kids are again part of the list.

For the boys, Morgan Heffelfinger is tied for third in the long jump with a distance of 21-0.75.

In the discus, Zachery Liggitt is fifth with a throw of 125-1. In the javelin, Colin Schucker is third with a throw of 157-9.

For the girls, Gallagher is third in the 1600 with a time of 5:17.10. In the 3200, Gallagher is also third with a time of 11:39.80.

Tatiana Lopez has the top time in the 110 hurdles with a 15.60. In the pole vault, Barrall is second, clearing 10-3.

Aja Blount is tied for fifth in the shot with a throw of 32-0 and is third in the discus with a 106-10.
