Whitehall Township’s new senior center will officially open May 2 at the West Catasauqua Playground building, 2301 Pine St.

Hours will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Coffee, tea and doughnuts will be available. A hot lunch will be served 11:30 a.m. daily.

The senior center will offer classes Tuesdays through Fridays in arts and crafts, yoga, strength training, tai chi exercise, functional training, low-impact aerobics, fall prevention, mixed medium art, history and dance.

An oldies dance will be held noon-2 p.m. once a month on a Friday.
