Chris Schmidt, president of Coplay Sports, received estimates to repair and improve the Coplay sports fields. A story reporting on the March 14 meeting of Coplay Borough Council incorrectly stated that Schmidt had received a bill for $16,000. In fact, the estimate for the lower field was $5,928. The estimate for the upper field is $9,622.

Schmidt indicated he asked the borough for assistance if there were funds available.

At the council meeting, council asked for more details on the costs. Councilman Stephen Burker presented the details at the Park and Recreation Committee March 22.

The Coplay Sports request will be discussed at council’s April 4 workshop session.
