Theodore M. “Ted” House-knecht, 84, formerly of Emmaus, died Feb. 23, 2017, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. He was the husband of June E. (Cole). They were married for the past 57 years. Born in Powder Valley, he was the son of the late Earl and Marion S. (Miller) Houseknecht.

He was a research chemist at Fuller Company until retiring. He received his bachelor’s degree from Moravian College and his master’s degree from Lehigh University.

He was a member of Fellowship Community Church, Whitehall.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Susan and her husband Kevin Derr, Patty and her husband, Mark Tracy; son, Eric and his wife Debra; brother, Earl and his wife, Kay; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by siblings, Roland, Clara Joy Hoffman and Anne Pollard.
