Mantone nominated for scholar-athlete award
Emmaus’ Brian Mantone will represent the Hornet football team at this year’s Lehigh Valley Football Scholar-Athlete Banquet. The 6-foot, 170-pound wide receiver and free safety, he ranks 121st out of 673 students. He is an honor roll student and member of the Curricular Honor Society. He serves as class president, is editor of the school newspaper, participates in varsity track, the Architecture Building Team, Hornet Ambassadors, the Lunch Buddy Program, and is a powder puff coach. He volunteers with Special Olympics, the Construction Food Drive Challenge, Spirit of the Lehigh Valley, is a youth football coach and is active in his church.
The banquet will be held on Sunday, March 5 at 4:30 p.m. at the Northampton Community Center.
